Richard I. Fine

is a recognized leader in the fields of governmental, judicial and political reform. He is the Principal of Richard I. Fine & Associates, which was established in 1974 as an international law firm. He has more than 45 years of legal experience and over a decade of diplomatic involvement to inform his strategy work.

// Education

Fine has a PhD in International Law from the London School of Economics & Political Science, University of London. He also received a Doctor of Law from the Law School, University of Chicago and a BS from the University of Wisconsin.

He holds certificates of Public and Private International Law from the Hague Academy of International Law, a Certificate of Comparative Law from the International University of Comparative Science in Luxembourg, and a Diplome d'Etudes Superieures du Droit Compare from the Faculte Internationale pour L’Enseignment du Droit Compare in Strasbourg.

He also has a Certificate in Mediating Commercial and Litigated Cases from the American Institute of Mediation. 

// Experience

Prior to opening his firm, Fine was a prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice, founder and chief of the first municipal antitrust division in the U.S. and Special Counsel to the Governmental Efficiency Committee of the Los Angeles City Council.

Fine served as Consul General for the Kingdom of Norway in Southern California for 15 years.

Fine makes frequent appearances as a commentator on CNN, NBC, the Full Disclosure Network and other news outlets.
